Mr. Roark,
Last night we were noticed there will be an additional overnight bridge closure, which will be tomorrow night. For your awareness, we have developed a contingency plan that includes
extra 911 responders during the scheduled closures. This provides an additional ambulance to compensate for the extended transport times due to the detour, down HWY 101 to the closest
appropriate medical facility.
We understand there will be unforeseen scheduling changes as this project progresses. I would like to request as much notice as possible when considering any future alterations to the
schedule, even it is not a sure thing. With short notice, it makes it difficult for us to staff the additional 911 unit and provide notice to our 911 responders.
Thank you for your support.
SR 104 Hood Canal Bridge overnight closures will extend to evening of Thursday, May 18
SHINE – People who use the State Route 104 Hood Canal Bridge will want to plan for an extra overnight closure on Thursday, May 18.
This is in addition to the already-scheduled overnight closures on Tuesday, May 16 and Wednesday, May 17. The bridge will close to all traffic from 11 p.m. each night to 4 a.m. each
following day.
The additional closure will allow contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation more time to complete the removal of an embedded anchor plate associated
with the pyramid centering system <https://lnks.gd/l/eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJidWxsZXRpbl9saW5rX2lkIjoxMDAsInVyaSI6ImJwMjpjbGljayIsInVybCI6Imh0dHBzOi8vd3Nkb3Qud2EuZ292L2NvbnN0cnVjdGlvbi1wbGFubmluZy9z
