Good afternoon,
Do you have some projects around your local parks that need some general maintenance? The Recreation and Conservation Office is excited to announce a new, one-time grant for Local Parks
Maintenance (LPM). If your park has projects on its list that have been backlogged and your community needs help making these improvements, consider applying for this new grant!
This one-time funding is intended to support local parks in maintaining facilities that meet the needs of their residents. The grant targets deferred maintenance for communities in need
and may include funding for staff time, maintenance equipment, supplies, and small capital facilities to support certain upkeep, renovations, repairs, or minor replacements.
Grants may be between $50,000 and $100,000 per project and all funding must be spent before June 30, 2025, so consider projects that can be completed by then. If this sounds like something
that would make a difference to your local park, please check out this grant program on our Local Parks Maintenance <https://rco.wa.gov/grant/local-parks-maintenance-grants/> page.
Final details are in development, but we wanted to get the word out as applications will close in late July!
