We are throwing a PARTY for the JCARF CSA!

CSA shares with a mix of donated items from local farms and products purchased from PGM farmers and food producers. The shares are always different and always absolutely beautiful!
They've included fresh seasonal veggies and fruits, flower bouquets, bread, dairy, eggs, sweet treats, herbal medicines, and preserved foods like sauerkraut. A couple times we've collaborated
with Velda Thomas to include Priority Love Packages! Once packed, shares are often delivered straight into the hands of their recipients by JCARF volunteers.
The is a reparations project, meant to support and uplift the People of the Global Majority in our community who experience racism and the impacts of structural racism. Every part of
the CSA is healing, for those contributing and putting the CSA together, for those who deliver, those who receive, and those who participate in a mix of ways. We are reminded that we
can and must (!) prioritize ~joy~ and reciprocity and sweetness in these times of uncertainty. We can reject the scarcity mindset and let our community care for (and be cared for by)
us.
The CSA is JCARF's most loved project, and we are deeply committed to continuing and growing our capacity. Last year we were able to provide 24 families with weekly shares, and we have
a waitlist of folks interested in receiving a share in the future.
This year was set to be our biggest year yet, but we've been confronted with some setbacks. Our main veggie contributor, Goosefoot Farm, lost a significant amount of funding and may
not be able to continue production through the growing season. Confronted with the possibility of having to cut our shares in half this year, we've decided to work together with them
to raise awareness and funding.
We are throwing a party at Finnriver Farm and Cidery on June 4th and YOU'RE INVITED! Our goal: $25,000.
