Greg, thank you for your time to discuss Bayside Housing and its Permit Application to change the Port Hadlock property zoning from UGA-C to UGA-HDR. Yesterday late afternoon I spoke
with Terry Umbreit, President Bayside Housing Board of Directors and he committed to having representatives affirm its continued supportive community housing commitment at the public
hearing. As I stated yesterday I have spoken with Heidi Eisenhower about Bayside and its commitment to the County affordable transition housing support; however, I have not been able
to speak with Kate Dean due to her recent travel commitments. I will CC both Commissioners so they are in my string of emails.
By the way do you have the day/date you Commissioners will conduct the public hearing on "2023 Comprehensive Plan Cycle". Joel Peterson, DCD Associate Planner, identified the following
information:
2. BoCC hearing on CPA.: As you may know, the PC recommendations for the Amendment Cycle Final Docket were brought to the Board of Commissioners on May 8. The Board was receptive to
the suggested amendment proposals but voted to hold their own public hearing on the matter.
Next steps in project schedule for 2023 CP amendments is:
* Draft Hearing Notice on BoCC Consent Agenda Monday, May 29.
* 14-day comment period publishes May 31—June 14.
* Hearing and decision on final docket, BoCC June 19. (JCC 18.45.060(4)(e) “hearing to be held no later than first BoCC meeting in July”).
* DCD analysis will be coming back to Planning Commission in September, including draft text on suggested amendments.
I understood the Commissioners do not meet the fifth Monday of a month and is not May 29 a Federal Holiday?
