After speaking with the DD Advisory Board Co-Chairs, we have decided to convene our Second
I/DD Awareness and Education Panel in March instead of having a DDAB meeting. March is
National Developmental Disabilities Month. The DDAB would like to celebrate this event, by
raising awareness about people with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, while educating and
sharing disability resources in Jefferson County.
I am hoping each of you can participate in the second I/DD Awareness and Education Panel that
is scheduled for Tuesday, March 23rd from 2:45pm to 4:15pm. Every panelist will have 5 to 10
minutes to give an overview of their program and to answer any questions. This Panel will focus
on disability groups, agencies and resources designed for people who experience I/DD in
Jefferson County. If you are unable to participate as a panelist, please let me know.

Kim Rafferty and I would like to schedule a half hour meeting with all the panelists sometime in
late February. We can answer any questions and talk about logistics. I will be sending out some
potential dates.
