Thank you if you have already registered. If not, we hope you will join the celebration! Wednesday, May 31 4:30 - 5:30pm Free for all to attend Register to join! <https://default.salsalabs.org/Tbb5acf87-75bf-4718-b85d-cb0f6d6a6150/d78f4f95-c470-42e9-947d-6619e8b97b6e> Every year we recognize an outstanding advocate with the Nancy Amidei Movement Builder Award, which recognizes a grassroots advocate who is impacting their community and helping to build the movement to ensure that everyone in Washington has access to a safe, healthy, affordable home. This year we’ll recognize all of the tenants who spoke up about the impact of rent increases. We’ll be joined by a panel of impacted tenants, landlords, and others who joined together to fight for fair rents and more during the legislative session. We will also be joined by a panel of lawmakers, including Representative Chipalo Street (D-37), Representative Emily Alvarado (D-34), and Representative Julio Cortes (D-38), to talk about the power of advocacy and what‘s next in the movement for housing justice, from a legislative perspective. While we didn’t achieve everything we hoped for this session, we secured historic investments to build affordable homes and increased funding for rental assistance, homelessness services, eviction prevention, and more. And we engaged almost 8,000 new people in the fight for housing justice! We’re making progress and building power to make transformational change in the future. That’s worth celebrating! I hope you’ll join us on May 31. <https://default.salsalabs.org/Tc8b32e77-c2c3-44f2-a 9b9-6fee469fb4bc/d78f4f95-c470-42e9-947d-6619e8b97b6e> Rachael Myers (she/her) Executive Director <https://default.salsalabs.org/552f5118-62db-4258-b752-03b27b84cb65/7025945e-04df-4712-b200-191c3a70853e.jpg> Follow Us <https://www.facebook.com/groups/residentactionproject/> <https://twitter.com/intent/follow?screen_name=RAPWashington> <https://www.linkedin.com/company/3027173/> WASHINGTON LOW INCOME HOUSING ALLIANCE 304 Alaskan Way S., Suite 302 Seattle, Washington 98104 (206) 442-9455 info@wliha.org View this email in your web browser <https://housingalliance.salsalabs.org/2023springcelebration_reminder3?wvpId=d78f4f95-c470-42e9-947d-6619e8b97b6e> Unsubscribe <https://housingalliance.salsalabs.org/manage-your-subscription?eId=552f5118-62db-4258-b752-03b27b84cb65&eType=EmailBlastContent&sId=d78f4f95-c470-42e9-947d-6619e8b97b6e> or Manage Your Preferences <https://housingalliance.salsalabs.org/manage-your-subscription?eId=552f5118-62db-4258-b752-03b27b84cb65&eType=EmailBlastContent&sId=d78f4f95-c470-42e9-947d-6619e8b97b6e>
