Chamber of Jefferson County and Visitors Center welcomes the start of EV Charging Infrastructure with High-Speed Chargers, Car-Shares, e-Scooters and eBike Charging Station
Port Townsend, WA 5.26.23 The Chamber of Jefferson County and Visitors Center is excited to announce the long-awaited start of installation of additional EV charging infrastructure on
the side of the Chamber building. This project, starting this week, will introduce high-speed chargers catering to the needs of both residents and visitors. In addition, the new charging
stations will also offer the convenience of charging eBikes, further promoting sustainable and alternative modes of transportation.
With a commitment to supporting environmentally friendly initiatives and improving the accessibility of clean transportation, the Chamber of Jefferson County recognizes the growing demand
for EV charging infrastructure. The addition of high-speed chargers will significantly reduce charging time, providing an enhanced user experience for electric vehicle owners in our
community and our visitors.
By strategically locating these chargers on the side of the Chamber building, we aim to create a convenient charging hub that benefits both residents and visitors. The high-speed chargers
will enable EV owners to quickly replenish their vehicles' batteries, encouraging the adoption of electric cars as a viable and sustainable transportation option.
Furthermore, the availability of eBike charging stations reflects our dedication to promoting a diverse range of eco-friendly mobility choices. Electric bicycles are gaining popularity
as an efficient and emission-free means of transportation. By providing charging facilities for eBikes, we aim to support and encourage their use within Jefferson County, promoting
a healthier and greener lifestyle.
