The selected consultant will work in conjunction with the Creative District staff and steering committee to solicit broad public involvement and seek artists’ input in the creation of the Port Townsend Creative District Arts & Culture Plan. Proposals should include information demonstrating experience in arts planning and community outreach, as well as the information requested in this RFP. The deadline for proposals for the Arts & Culture Plan is June 15th, 2023. PTArtscape is sponsoring artist Jesse Watson to create the design and lead students through the painting process. PTArtscape is funded through an ArtsWa Educational grant and connects local teaching artists with classrooms for education in the arts. We would love to have Port Townsend School District students of all ages join us. This venue is at the High School, located close to the tennis courts. There will be plenty of parking and space for this fun event. Please enter from Van Buren Street. This year the Washington State Arts Commission has chosen Port Townsend to host the annual Creative District Convening. On June 28th & 29th, approximately 60 people from across WA state will be visiting our Creative District which includes Downtown, Uptown & Fort Worden.
