It would be tragic to wait for the end of the war to rebuild as millions of Ukrainians are suffering. Sadly, the war will likely not be over before freezing winter temperatures return.
Already distributed solar and heat pumps are saving lives in Ukraine hospitals. Electric minivans have the ability to power mobile command posts and field hospitals.

A Ukraine Energy Security Marshall Plan is a crucial opportunity to undermine Putin’s war in Ukraine, strengthen global security, and increase energy production.
The Marshall Plan, an audacious, innovative strategy, provided Europe with the stimulus needed to rapidly rebuild after World War II. Now, we need an Energy Security Marshall Plan to
help Ukraine rebuild their economy with the security of knowing that they won't be vulnerable to autocratic nations that control oil and gas instability.
It would be inhumane to wait for the end of the war as millions of Ukrainians are suffering. We can rebuild infrastructure that has been hit by drones and missiles with distributed smart
microgrids right now.
Distributed clean energy is much more resilient against attacks than traditional infrastructure as it does not have single points of failure. This is why U.S. military bases at home
and abroad will be powered with smart clean microgrids by 2035.
Destroyed petrol stations can be replaced with interconnected, yet self-generating, clean energy electric vehicle charging stations without the need for the grid. Electric minivans and
buses can then be used for mobile energy storage to provide emergency power for hospitals and command posts in times of need.
These are only a few examples of how an Energy Security Marshall Plan protects Ukraine’s security, economy, and environment.
