WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution 13-23 on
March 27, 2023 expressing an Intent to Vacate a portion of Gustaysen Road subject to the Petitioner who
requested the road vacation meeting certain conditions within one year of the date of that resolution;and ` '
WHEREAS,the Department of Public Works has now confirmed that Petitioner Alvord Investments,
LLC has met all of the required conditions, including payment of compensation for the right-of-way,and that
the Public Works Department is prepared to record,at Petitioner's expense,all of the documents required under
the Intent to Vacate resolution together with this resolution;
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the following portion of Gustaysen Road right-of-way
be vacated and abandoned pursuant to RCW 36.87 and JCC 12.10:
The South 40 feet of the East 100 feet as measured along the South line of the West 455
feet of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter, Section 31, Township 27 North,
Range 1 West, W.M, Jefferson County, Washington.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that said vacation shall become effective on the date this resolution
is recorded with the Jefferson County Auditor.

Subject: Resolution for final approval of Gustaysen Road vacation
Statement of Issue: The Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution 13-23 on
March 27, 2023 expressing an Intent to Vacate a portion of Gustaysen Road right-of-
way, upon the Petitioner of the road vacation meeting certain conditions. The Board
committed to adopting a resolution officially vacating the subject right-of-way upon
verification by the Public Works Department that the conditions had been met.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: The Public Works Department can now
confirm that the Petitioner has complied with all of the required conditions, including
execution of a Quit Claim Deed and a Restrictive Covenant, and that Petitioner has
paid the County for the value of the vacated right-of-way and all other fees due.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: In accordance with JCC 12.10.120, the
compensation paid by Petitioner, including $20,000 for the value of the right-of-way,
will be deposited into the county road fund.
Recommendation: The Board is requested to sign the attached Resolution and return
to Public Works for further processing.
