Research Center Open House Is Next Saturday! Join our research and collections staff Saturday, June 24 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM for a free public open house at our Research Center! You may or may not know that this JCHS site is both the repository for our archival collections and our research library where we facilitate public access to the roughly 500,000 items in our collection. If you've never visited before, you're in for a treat! If you've never visited 1904 Commanding Officer's Quarters before, check it out between June and September! Located at the head of Officers’ Row at Fort Worden, this historic house museum offers a unique glimpse into the daily life of early 20th century senior U.S. Army officers and their families. The views from the house aren't bad either! Commanding Officer's Quarters is open for tours 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Thursday through Sunday, and admission is by donation.
