June 22 Jefferson and Clallam Counties are abundant with natural spaces, and Fort Flagler is one of those special places, nestled on Marrowstone Island. Our Washington State Park’s budgets fall short of the many needs in our parks and the Friends of Fort Flagler help to span that gap. In this reprise airing, Missy Nielsen of Everybody Can discusses with Board Member Deisy Bach the benefits and opportunities to help span the gap while taking in the beauty of our Olympic Peninsula. June 27 In this reprise airing, The Answer for Youth (TAFY), located in Port Angeles, is a drop-in center for homeless and at-risk community members under the age of 35. For nearly 14 years, Susan Hillgren, founder and director of TAFY, tells Missy Nielsen that we “meet them where they are at.” Learn how this organization has responded through the years; from laundry services to holiday gatherings. Supported by their very own greenhouse sales at their “The Sprouting Hope Greenhouse”, clients can also get a bit of “dirt therapy”. Join us for this uplifting conversation.
