The Medicaid Inmate Exclusion Policy revokes Medicaid coverage for people in jail – even those who have yet to be convicted of a crime. This policy creates a double standard that strains
local systems and leads to higher recidivism rates and healthcare costs for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.

The Internal Revenue Service has issued proposed guidance on how counties can access clean energy payments through new mechanisms established under the Inflation Reduction Act.
