As an Easement Steward, my job is to monitor our 82 conservation easements, which permanently protect important habitats and working lands. The most direct definition of my job is to
make sure the conservation values of the land are maintained.
Mid Valley Farm, one of our 25 farmland easements, was finalized earlier this year. I look forward to monitoring Mid Valley Farm, and supporting the landowner in continuing to meet and
exceed the goals of the farmland conservation easement.
This important farmland conservation would not have happened without community support in 2022. Now, in 2023, I will begin the “in perpetuity” monitoring of this incredible Dungeness
farm. Thank you for making this conservation possible!
