HOUSING FUND BOARD
Special Meeting – Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.
Commissioners’ Chambers, Jefferson County Courthouse
1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, WA 98368 (Hybrid)
CALL TO ORDER: Jefferson County Commissioner Greg Brotherton called the Joint Jefferson
County/City of Port Townsend Housing Fund Board (HFB) to order. The following HFB members participated in the meeting: Jefferson County Commissioner Greg Brotherton, City of Port Townsend Councilmember Aislinn Diamanti, Member Julia Cochrane and Member Amy Howard.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: Chair Brotherton called for public comments, and no comments were
received. Discussion re: Homeless Shelter Closure: HFB members discussed the cost to keep the American Legion open through the summer. Member Diamanti moved to award a total of $40, 000 from Fund 148
to OlyCAP for the purpose of operating the shelter. Chair Brotherton clarified this will go to the Board
of County Commissioners for approval. Member Cochrane seconded. The motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: Chair Brotherton called for public comments, and one was received and the Board responded.
Next Steps/Closing Remarks: Member Howard stated this was urgent but would like to be better prepared moving forward. NOTICE OF ADJOURNMENT: Chair Brotherton adjourned the meeting at 1:22 p.m. until the next
