Dear Kate,
This is one last reminder that tomorrow is the end of our spring fund drive!
We’ve made progress this year by securing meaningful investments in affordable homes and solutions to homelessness (learn more in our annual report <https://default.salsalabs.org/T26aff8a7-59a9-4b8b-
a785-02269283a5d5/d78f4f95-c470-42e9-947d-6619e8b97b6e> ), but there’s so much more to do. During this year’s legislative session, lawmakers missed opportunities to reign in skyrocketing
rents and now it takes a full-time wage of more than $36 per hour just to afford a modest two-bedroom apartment.

There is much more work to do in the coming months. We will continue to build our movement and build our power before the legislature returns to Olympia next year. Over the summer and
fall, we’ll make sure that lawmakers hear directly from the people and organizations that are most impacted by the affordable housing crisis, so they start the next legislative session
with the urgency needed to solve it.
