County Commissioners, Dr Allison Berry, and Willie Bence,
KPTZ listeners did not send in any questions for Monday, July 3rd’s health update.
Greg Brotherton sent in an email to KPTZ indicating Dr Berry wanted to speak about the concept of harm reduction on Monday.
Jim Burke emailed "I understand Dr. Berry wants to talk about “harm reduction.” The most common response I’ve heard when I bring it up is, “What’s that?”
Jim and I submitted our questions for Dr Berry regarding Covid 19 and vaccines.
Thank you,
Lynn Sorensen

1. Based on the limited reporting and resources that the county and the state have for Covid-19,
is there any clear trend on newer variants?
2. I received my bi-valent booster in October 2022 and have yet to get the second booster.
I want to know if Dr Berry recommends I get that second booster in July or wait for the new vaccine coming this Fall?
I am 70 and healthy and have had all the recommended vaccinations and Covid one year ago.
If I get the second booster in July I would have to wait 4 months (November) to get the new vaccine.
One consideration: I do have a large family wedding in mid September so I’m leaning toward getting my second booster sooner than later.
Your advice?
