The one in our collection is actually the original from which three replicas have been made, including the current statue which was installed in 1993. Check out this short feature to learn about where the latest reproduction is headed and see a one-minute time-lapse video of the 23-day process of creating the mold that will be used to cast a new bronze statue. The 1868 Rothschild House is back open for the summer! Come for a glimpse into the daily life and memories of the Rothschild family and learn from our staff and volunteers about Uptown Port Townsend and this special 154-year-old house. Visit any Friday and Saturday between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM through September for a tour. If you've never visited 1904 Commanding Officer's Quarters before, check it out between June and August! Located at the head of Officers’ Row at Fort Worden, this historic house museum offers a unique glimpse into the daily life of early 20th century senior U.S. Army officers and their families. The views from the house aren't bad either! Commanding Officer's Quarters is open for tours 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Thursday through Sunday, and admission is by donation. Along with their work, this exhibition features many selections from our permanent collection and local collectors that have never been publicly displayed.
