The one in our collection is actually the original from which three replicas have been made, including the current statue which was installed in 1993. Check out this short feature to learn about where the latest reproduction is headed and see a one-minute time-lapse video of the 23-day process of creating the mold that will be used to cast a new bronze statue. Located at the head of Officers’ Row at Fort Worden, this historic house museum offers a unique glimpse into the daily life of early 20th century senior U.S. Army officers and their families. Along with their work, this exhibition features many selections from our permanent collection and local collectors that have never been publicly displayed.
