I'm also aware of Port Townsend's soon to be unable to maintain the numerous departments that allow the city to function. The answer is the city will have to look for more tax dollars. This project is not a necessity and belongs in a much larger city with deep pockets. We have many of the amenities in the area right now. What happens to them when they lose members and in return get a higher tax bill? Finally, did Port Townsend seek these people out or did they just show up with four designs that could fit all. Think of all that has transpired these past three years and the the grim predictions for our future. Time to tighten the belt.
