•Wednesday, 9/5/2018 from 11:30 to 1:00
•Wednesday, 9/18/2019 from 11:30 to 1:00
•Parks volunteers, caretakers & camp host
•Recreation volunteers invited but few if any able to attend
•County officials –BoCC, Sheriff, other elected
•Parks and rec staff
•Burgers, hot dogs, fixin’s, sides, soft drinks, cookies
•Cash contribution from JCPRAB & pot luck
Celebration of Stewardship 2023
•County parks and rec will pay for the food
•Form a board sub-committee
•Plan menu, purchase food, prepare, serve, clean up
•Prepare and lead program if any, emcee the event
•Whole board if possible attends and helps produce the event
•Staff
•Prepare and submit food request form & reimbursement forms
•Reserve the facility
•Provide volunteer lists and contact info
•Provide postage if needed
•Summarize volunteer hours and projects
Event Options
•Day of week and time of day (other times can work too)
•Proposal is September 7, 2023 from 11:00am to 1:00pm
•Serve lunch
•Or –September 7, 2023 from 3pm to 5pm
•Serve snacks
•Open house/drop in with passive program
•Less pressure, more relaxed, more time to connect with people
•Shorter commitment from attendees
•Posters with photos, project info, etc
•Event with a more specific time and a more structured program
•A specific time period that works for everyone
•Program with recognition, certificates, photo ops etc
•Good for newspapers/PR
