COHOL/DRUG ABUSE ADVISORY BOARD: Seven to Fifteen member Board
appointed by the County Commissioners to review and evaluate the
alcohol treatment needs, services, facilities and special problems of
the community; advise the County Commissioners of programs,
activities, and expenditures. Three year term of appointment.
Meetings are held evenings of the second Thursday of each month.

V BOARD OF EQUALIZATION: Three member Board (1 alternate) appointed

by the County Commissioners to uniformly and equitably value property
through the property tax system. To impartially review and conduct
hearings on appeals of individuals. Board meets as necessary. Three
year term of appointment.
"CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION: Three member Board appointed by the
) County Commissioners to adopt rules for personnel matters within the
Sheriff 's department; approve classification plans and competitive
employment tests; hear appeals and investigate matters relating to the
Civil Service Ordinance and Rules. Meetings are held the third Friday
of each month. Six year term of appointment.
DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES ADVISORY BOARD: Seven to fifteen member
Board appointed by the County Commissioners to review and evaluate the
needs of the community. Review programs, services, performance

contracts, and budget reports. Recommend changes to programs,
policies, and standards. Three year term of appointment.
FERRY ADVISORY COMMITTEE: Five member Board. Four year term of
appointment.
�ARDINER COMMUNITY CENTER BOARD OF DIRECTORS: Seven member Board
appointed bythe CountyCommissioners to organize the operation of the

center and oversee it' s activities. Responsible for scheduling all
activities, accounting of all funds generated by the center, reviewing
all bills and charges and transmittingthem to the County
Commissioners. Business shall be conducted in accordance with the
Guidelines for Operation of the Gardiner Community Center. Three year
term of appointment.
USING AUTHORITY: Five member Board appointed by the County
Commissioners to assist the County and City Planning departments in
assessing land availability for siting special purpose housing.
Address affordability and emergency shelter needs of the community.
Five year term of appointment.
4EFFERSON COUNTY PENINSULA REGIONAL SUPPORT NETWORK (PRSN) ADVISORY
/ BOARD: Consists of members from three Counties/Jurisdictions
(Jefferson, Clallam, and Kitsap) . Appointments are made by the PRSN
Advisory Board itself. Duties include reviewing the coordination of
providing mental health services to member jurisdictions. Five
members from Jefferson County. Three year term of appointment.

Three year term of appointment. Duties include reviewing substantial
development permit applications of secondary and conditional uses and
variance requests; review information, testimony, and correspondence
from persons, groups, or agencies; conduct public hearings; transmit
recommendations to the City council or County Commissioners; develop
and review amendments to the master program.
./LIBRARY DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES: Five member Board appointed by
the County Commissioners to develop criteria for the position of
Library Director; work with the Director to develop and adopt the
annual operation budget; policies which govern the operation of the
Library; personnel policy manual. Responsible for providing and
maintaining a Library facility and assuring the diverse interests and
needs of the community are met. Review and approve payment of monthly
vouchers. Meets the second Wednesday of each month. Five year term
of appointment.
/6 LYMPIC AREA AGENCY ON AGING ADVISORY COUNCIL (03A) : Consists of
up to eighteen members, four of which must be from Jefferson County.
Duties include indentifying and prioritizing the needs of ederly and
disabled persons; develop goals; review, advise and make
recommendations for the comprehensive area-wide plan, allocation of
funds according to priorities and counties and contracting with
AA program and service providers. Three year term of appointment.

1,• ARKS ADVISORY BOARD: Nine member Board appointed by the County
Commissioners to assist in developing programs and policies concerning
Jefferson County; review proposed rules, policies, and ordinances
prior to adoption by the County Commissioners; oversee development and
revisions and amendments to the Jefferson County Parks, Open Space and
Recreation Plan. Two year term of appointment.
ANNING COMMISSION: Nine member Board appointed by the County
ommissioners to make inquiries, investigations, and surveys
concerning resources of the County; assist the Planning Department
with revisions and amendments to the Comprehensive plan; report on
land use matters. Four year term of appointment.
ORT TOWNSEND COMMUNITY CENTER ADVISORY BOARD: Nine member Board
/appointed by the County Commissioners to organize the operation of the
center and oversee it's activities. Responsible for scheduling all
activities, accounting of all funds generated by the center, reviewing
and transmitting to the County Commissioners, all bills and charges
related to the center. Business shall be conducted in accordance with
the Guidelines for Operation of the Port Townsend Community Center.
Two year term of appointment.

polices concerning stormwater management; review proposed rules,
policies, and ordinances prior to adoption by the County
Commissioners; oversee development, revisions and amendments to the
Stormwater Management Plan. Three year term of appointment.
