In a battle that goes back more than 25 years, Tribes, fishing groups and conservation organizations have been fighting to protect threatened and endangered salmon in the Columbia River
Basin, challenging federal agency hydropower systems.
Last summer, the Biden Administration made a commitment to develop and implement “a durable long-term strategy to restore salmon and other native fish populations to healthy and abundant
levels, honoring Federal commitments to Tribal Nations, delivering affordable and reliable clean power, and meeting the many resilience needs of stakeholders across the region.”
Now, we need you to join us in demonstrating strong public support for a free-flowing lower Snake River. Send a message to Senator Maria Cantwell that the Biden administration must deliver
a comprehensive plan that includes replacing the services of the Snake River dams and to move forward with breaching the dams and restoring the river.

The Columbia and Snake Rivers were once the largest salmon-producing river system in the continental United States, but now many runs are listed as endangered or threatened, with many
others are already lost. Even in a warming world, Snake River salmon can be restored -- but we must restore a free flowing river by breaching the four lower Snake River dams.
We must restore healthy and abundant salmon in the Columbia and Snake Rivers, provide a long-overdue measure of justice for Northwest Tribes, and ensure a successful transition to a
strong and robust future in the Northwest that works for all.
