STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
ADVISORY BOARD REAPPOINTMENTS (2) re: Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC); 1) Three
(3) Year Term to Expire August 15, 2026; The Resort at Port Ludlow; Diana Smeland; and, 2) Three (3)
Year Term to Expire August 21, 2026; Kalaloch Lodge (West End); Amy Neil
ANALYSIS•
These positions were advertised in the Port Townsend Leader and on the Jefferson County Board and
Commissions Vacancies website. An email was received from Diana Smeland and Amy Neil, LTAC
Members,requesting to serve another term on LTAC. Diana Smeland has consecutively served on this
Board since 2019 and is a valued member. Amy Neil has consecutively served on this Board since 2021 and
is also a valued member.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve and sign attached letters reappointing The Resort at Port Ludlow, Diana Smeland and
Kalaloch Lodge (West End), Amy Neil to the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. These positions
were published in the Port Townsend Leader on July 5, 2023, and the LTAC web page.
