What evaluators do: Read and score simple grant applications to help decide how this one-time funding pool is allocated. When: Late September – October 2023 How: Remotely, through a written process. Review and score applications from anywhere, whenever works for you (during the evaluation period). The program: The Local Parks Maintenance Grant <https://rco.wa.gov/grant/local-parks-maintenance-grants/> is a new program that focuses on deferred maintenance. The program emphasizes helping communities in need address maintenance backlogs for key local parks facilities and capital improvements. Applications will be for general maintenance for things like trails, restrooms, picnic sites, playgrounds, signs, and kiosks. Stipends are available to grant evaluators who are not otherwise compensated for their participation.
