Re: Caswell Brown Village Project
Log No.: 2022-11-07764-COMM
Dear Nathan Lichti;
We have been contacted by Charlie Hitchcock, representing the Office of Rural & Farmworker
Housing, pursuant to Executive Order 21-02. We have reviewed the information he provided for
the proposed Caswell Brown Village Project in Port Townsend, Jefferson County, Washington.
We concur with a Determination of No cultural resource impacts with the stipulation for an
inadvertent find plan.
Please provide the delegation letter and any correspondence or comments from concerned tribes
or other parties that you receive in conformance with Executive Order 21-02.
In the event that archaeological or historic materials are encountered during project activities,
work in the immediate vicinity must stop, the area secured, and the concerned tribe’s cultural
department notified.
These comments are based on the information available at the time of this review and on behalf
of the State Historic Preservation Officer in compliance with Executive Order 21-02. Should
additional information become available, our assessment may be revised, including information
regarding historic properties that have not yet been identified. Thank you for the opportunity to
comment and a copy of these comments should be included in subsequent environmental
documents.
Sincerely,
Robert G. Whitlam, Ph.D.
