Thousands gather to celebrate maritime culture at festivals from Blaine to Grays Harbor. State Parks and other public shorelines bustle with family vacations, hiking trips, and summer camps. Boat races zip across Puget Sound alongside pleasure cruises and paddlers of all types. Just weeks ago, thousands of indigenous peoples from across the Pacific Northwest paddled to Muckleshoot for the first Tribal Canoe Journey since 2019. Hosted by Bellingham SeaFeast and Children of the Setting Sun Productions, this fundraiser—including the artist, the Black Hawk Singers and Dancers, and a silent auction—will help finish the pole and fund its new home.
