Celebrating the One-Year Anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act
One year ago, on August 16, 2022, President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law – the largest investment in clean energy and climate action ever. The Inflation Reduction
Act is a transformative law that is helping the United States meet its climate goals and strengthen energy security, investing in America to create good-paying jobs, reducing energy
and health care costs for families, and making the tax code fairer.

Today, to mark the anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act, the Biden-Harris Administration is releasing a new feature on Invest.gov <https://whitehouse.us10.list-manage.com/track/click?u=f620288b
b41dd81f9c715ef4d&id=29efb75b3e&e=1b00b68fe6> that highlights stories of how the Inflation Reduction Act and Bidenomics are making a difference for Americans in all 50 states and U.S.
territories.
Also today, the Department of Energy (DOE) released an updated study <https://whitehouse.us10.list-manage.com/track/click?u=f620288bb41dd81f9c715ef4d&id=ba991f02df&e=1b00b68fe6> affirming
the transformative climate progress driven by the Inflation Reduction Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. DOE estimates that the two laws will cut U.S. greenhouse gas emissions
by up to 41 percent below 2005 levels by 2030.

HHS Webinar on LIHEAP and LIHWAP Programs
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is hosting a webinar tomorrow, Thursday, August 17, at 3:30 PM ET regarding the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and
Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) programs.
HHS and Administration leaders, including HHS Intergovernmental and External Affairs Director Marvin Figueroa will discuss the importance of the LIHEAP and LIHWAP programs.
