SUBJECT: Request for Board Approval,re: Issuing Homeless Housing and Affordable
Housing Request for Proposals(RFP)
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
During their August 23,2023 meeting,the Housing Fund Board approved a motion to recommend that the Board of
County Commissioners issue an RFP in an amount not to exceed$220,000 for Homeless Housing and$965,000 for
Affordable Housing, for qualifying projects to be undertaken in 2024.
ANALYSIS:
Staff analyzed the finances of the Homeless and Affordable Housing funds and notified the Housing Fund Board that
the available amounts in 2024 are as follows: $220,000 for Homeless Housing and$965,000 for Affordable Housing.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This request has no fiscal impact in and of itself. However, approval of this request will lead to the award of grants for
Homeless Housing and Affordable Housing projects in Jefferson County in 2024.
RECOMMENDATION:
Authorize the issuance of a Homeless Housing and Affordable Housing RFP in an amount not to exceed$220,000 for
Homeless Housing and$965,000 for Affordable Housing.
