I was really disappointed I had to miss the meeting today between you, our County Commissioners, and our animal shelter. I want you to know I think it’s time for our County to start
funding this crucial facility, as other counties do. At the very least, you should not be charging rent or insisting your tenant — the shelter — pay County wages for repairs to a dilapidated
building the County owns.
I sincerely hope you find a way to provide the funding our shelter needs — or another solution that will keep them operating.. I think it is the County’s responsibility to do that.
It is our County’s much needed animal shelter, and the County should be doing lots more to keep it here. Thank you for listening.
