STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Jefferson County Public Health requests approval of Amendment 1 to the Dosewallips River: Rocky Brook
and Powerlines Reach Habitat Restoration Design Agreement with Natural Systems Design; April 1, 2023
— November 30, 2024; Add'I $27,500; $472,387.00
ANALYSIS/STRATEGIC GOALS/PROS and CONS:
Amendment 1 to this agreement, to develop preliminary designs for high value restoration actions to support
habitat for threatened salmon in the Powerlines Reach (RM 1.3-2.5), will contribute funds towards the
acquisition of LiDAR (topographic data) by Natural Systems Design. The LiDAR will then be used to develop
hydrologic computer models of current and proposed conditions.
FISCAL IMPACT/COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
Funding for this project is provided through the RCO SRFB. No funds from the General Fund are requested.
RECOMMENDATION:
JCPH Management recommends BOCC signature for Amendment 1 to the Dosewallips River: Rocky Brook
and Powerlines Reach Habitat Restoration Design Agreement with Natural Systems Design; April 1, 2023
