1. What is your educational, professional, and/or volunteer experience that relates to serving on the Jefferson County Planning Commission? I was a parks and recreation board commissioner
for the Brinnon area. I currently live in district 1 of Port Townsend. I would like to be a part of the planning of Jefferson County. I have a bachelor's degree in business. I have
lived in Jefferson County for 30 years and am very familiar with the area. I have been a Girl Scout leader in a volunteer role for 20 years.
2. What other skills or qualities do you have that may help you serve as an effective planning commissioner? I am a team player. I value this county and want to help with planning how
this area is maintained and carefully developed. I want to help address the housing crisis and be a part of helping people access services and help people be informed about the policies
involved in decision making when it comes to development and implementation. I think I would be a valuable addition to your board.
3. Regularly scheduled meetings occur twice monthly – typically the first and third Wednesdays of each month. Will you be able to fulfill the the schedule through the end of the 4-year
term? Please explain. Yes. I am available to attend those meetings.
4. The Planning Commission serves to hold public meetings and make recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners. How do you approach decision-making in a setting where there are
multiple complex issues with the possibility of strong emotions behind proponents or opponents of the issue? I am a very diplomatic person and a team player that is striving to find
solutions to problems while listening to all parties involved. I have a lot of customer service experience. Being a board commissioner for Parks and Recreation was great experience
in learning about how the county works and how decision making is done.
