A Community Service message from the Village Council
Port Ludlow and other affected area residents should have received a phone message and post card from JeffPUD advising them of the planned outage.
Please plan accordingly for the outage affecting approximately 1,800 customers that is set for September 8th in the greater Port Ludlow area.
The outage will last approximately 10 hours and is scheduled to begin at 5AM. The outage area will extend from Swansonville Rd to Thorndyke Rd south of Highway 104.
The outage is part of the fish barrier removal project near Swansonville Rd and Beaver Valley Rd (SR19). The project involves construction of an 18-foot three-sided culvert.
Planned outage preparation for the home:
* If you rely on medical equipment dependent on electricity, plan to ensure equipment is properly powered (backup generator or battery operation) during the outage or temporarily relocate
to ensure operation.
* Charge your cell phone and have a battery backup for charging cell phone and other electronics.
* Unplug sensitive electronics prior to outage. This will help prevent damaged if there is a power surge during the outage.
* Keep refrigerator & freezer doors closed as much as possible.
* Check PUD main page and social media channels for the latest outage updates. https://www.jeffpud.org/ <https://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001GC106KAcnk5EyJbeJdOkC0WrQx3EViymTypS1tOc58RTrvAegdFjJ_7BaRGAXc
