Special Meeting — April 5, 2023 9:30 a.m.
Washington State Department of Transportation - Summer Construction Schedule
Jefferson County Courthouse— Commissioners' Chambers
1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, WA (All-Virtual)
CALL TO ORDER: Chair Greg Brotherton, Commissioner Kate Dean and Commissioner Heidi
Eisenhour participated in the meeting remotely. Chair Brotherton called the meeting to order at the
appointed time. The purpose of the meeting is to review sending a letter to Governor Inslee regarding
the Hood Canal Bridge closures and other Washington State Department of Transportation(WSDOT)
construction that is scheduled.
PUBLIC COMMENTS: One comment was received and responded to.
DISCUSSION re: Letter re: Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Summer
Construction Schedule: The Commissioners reviewed the draft letter and made edits. Commissioner
Dean moved to approve sending the letter, as amended today. Commissioner Eisenhour seconded the
motion which carried by a unanimous vote. The letter will be sent to Governor Inslee, Secretary Millar
and the state legislative delegation.
NOTICE OF ADJOURNMENT: Chair Brotherton adjourned the meeting at 9:46 a.m. until the next
regular meeting or special meeting as properly noticed.
