After a month-long recess, Congress is back. Tasks through the end of the year include finalizing the federal budget by September 30 and negotiating a $44 billion supplemental aid package,
including $16 billion dedicated to addressing recent natural disasters.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced restrictions on disaster recovery funding due to diminishing resources in the Disaster Relief Fund.
