of Counties (NACo) has developed to strengthen our advocacy efforts from your home counties.

The PILT program supports county services like road and bridge maintenance, law enforcement, search and rescue operations, fire protection, solid waste disposal, and environmental compliance.

oC12Ol0hJzJ2ow8GXuTOA~~> program is also an important issue for county governments. While Congress reauthorized SRS for three years under the 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the
final round of SRS payments will be issued to counties next spring. It is vital that Congress extend SRS by the end of FY 2023 to ensure national forest counties can meet their governing
missions.

PILT Program Briefing
NACo and our Western Interstate Region (WIR) will host a briefing for county officials, members of Congress and their staffs. The briefing will take place Friday, Sept. 15, 2023, from
9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. EDT at NACo's headquarters, 660 North Capitol St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20001.
Several county officials and members of Congress are expected to speak, including:

* President of NACo’s Western Interstate Region and Carbon County, Wyo. Commissioner John Espy
