JCIRA has grown so much in the past year,
and we need your support to keep growing!

In the past year JCIRA has:
* Opened the Multicultural Center
* Hired JCIRA’s first employees
* Increased outreach & involvement
* Given grants to help immigrants with short-term financial difficulties
* Offered language programs in English and Spanish
* Provided assistance accessing healthcare and legal services
* Sent immigrant youth to summer camps
* And more!
These programs have cost a lot of money. JCIRA needs additional funds to continue its work.
Every dollar given to JCIRA goes directly to help local people.

Many immigrants have told us how pleased and grateful they are that the Multicultural Center is here for them. They are excited that they have a place to gather, meet friends and make
new friends; a place where they can learn and share their own knowledge and skills; a place where they can celebrate their culture and make the broader community aware of their native
arts, crafts, and customs; and a place where they can seek help if needed and offer help when possible.
In addition to expressions of gratitude, immigrants tell us that the existence of the Multicultural Center and the services provided by JCIRA let them know that they are welcome in this
community. They hear the message that the people of Port Townsend and Jefferson County care about them and want to be in community with them.
