Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC)
Special Meeting Minutes August 11,2023—9:30 a.m.
Jefferson County Commissioners Chambers
(Hybrid)
Members: Chair Heidi Eisenhour, Diana Smeland, Amy Neil, Kevin Wooley,and Tara McCauley
Staff: LTAC Clerk Adiel McKnight
CALL TO ORDER: Chair Heidi Eisenhour called the meeting to order at the appointed time.
Members Smeland,Neil, Wooley, and McCauley participated in the meeting remotely.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: There was no public present for comments.
WELCOME re: New LTAC Member Tara McCauley of the Jefferson County Historical
Society: The Committee welcomed Member McCauley and thanked her for joining LTAC.
DISCUSSION re: Review of Request for Proposals (RFP) and Approval of Funding in the
Amount of$692,900 for 2024: The committee discussed how the funds are estimated for the
following year. After discussion, Member Wooley moved to approve the 2024 RFP's for grant
applications. Member Smeland seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. It was
noted that the first motion didn't include an RFP amount. Member Smeland moved to approve an
RFP amount of$692,900. Member Neil seconded the motion, which carried by a unanimous
vote.
FUTURE MEETING AGENDA ITEMS: None
CLOSING REMARKS: The next LTAC meeting is scheduled for September 19, 2023 to review
proposals. RFP's will be published on the website, emailed to recipients and a notice will be
published in the Port Townsend Leader.
NOTE OF ADJOURNMENT: Chair Eisenhour adjourned the meeting at 9:42 a.m. until the next
regular or special meeting as properly noticed.
