Dear Commissioners,
I understand you will be meeting with the WA Departmetn of Natural Resources today regarding the Dabob Bay Natural Area. I wanted to thank you for your efforts in recent years to protect
older, ecologically significant forests on state land in E. Jefferson County and requesting expansion of the Dabob Bay Natural Area. I am one of many citizens who see the immense value
of protecting intact forest ecosystems. I know you have been urged by a broad coalition of shellfish growers, Tribes, citizens, and state and regional conservation groups, and I applaud
your persistence and focus on this work.
