Dear Commissioners,
I am writing to express my dismay over the proposed increase of yard debris fees from $5 to $20. I have a small truck and this increase of fees will make it unreasonable financially
for me to continue to dump yard debris. The only alternative I see is to build burn piles and add more CO2 to the atmosphere. I believe this price increase will deter many from taking
their yard debris and chose burning instead. It seems like a bad cycle to me.
I used to feel great that I was able to fill my little truck, take my yard debris to the dump for $5 and then buy it back in the form of soil which I then used on my garden. Why not
just increase the fee to 7.50 or 10.00 to keep this healthy cycle going? Thank you for considering my opinion.
