HomeMy WebLinkAboutMotion re LTAC recommendations Consent Agenda JEFFERSON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST TO: Board of County Commissioners FROM: Adiel McKnight,Executive Assistant DATE: October 2,2023 SUBJECT: MOTION TO APPROVE re: Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) Funding Recommendations for 2024 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: On September 19, 2023 the LTAC Committee met to review presentations from the Jefferson County 2024 Lodging Tax Request for Proposals. re: 2024 Lodging Tax Funding Recommendations from the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC). ANALYSIS• The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee has submitted recommendations for the 2024 Lodging Tax Fund allocations. In order for 2024 lodging tax funding agreements to be processed in a timely manner, the Commissioners are asked to review the LTAC recommendations and take action to affirm the 2024 funding amounts, including fifteen(15)proposals totaling $720,400,plus $14,752 for capital contingency and administrative costs for a total of$749,904, as detailed in the attached spreadsheet. FISCAL IMPACT• $749,904 from Fund 125. RECOMMENDATION• Review the LTAC recommendations and approve a motion to adopt the 2024 Hotel Motel fund expenditures as recommended.
