SUBJECT: Request Board of County Commissioners approval of Amendment
No. 4 to the Professional Services Agreement Between Chickadee
Forestry, LLC and Jefferson County for Developing and Managing
Jefferson County's Sustainable Forestry Program
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
On September 12,2022 the BOCC approved Amendment No. 3 to the professional services contract with Chickadee
Forestry to develop and manage the County's sustainable forestry program. The amendment approved a$32,000
increase to the contract's not to exceed amount bringing that amount to $135,000. The increase should have been for
$85,000 bringing the not to exceed amount to$188,000.
ANALYSIS:
The attached Amendment No. 4 adding an additional $53,000 will correct this error and will enable forestry work for
the county to continue.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The additional cost of the amendment of$53,000 will bring the total four-year cost to$188,000, much of which has
been offset by program revenue. A supplemental appropriation will be submitted for Board approval in the 4th quarter
of 2023, if necessary.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Board of County Commissioners approve the attached Amendment No.4 to the Professional Services
Agreement with Chickadee Forestry, LLC.
