CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
MEETING MINUTES
August 28, 2018
Chairman Bob Gebo called the meeting to order at 2:07 p.m. in the presence of Commissioner Ken
Przygocki and Chief Examiner Steve Richmond. Commissioner Dennis Cowan attend by phone.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Chairman Bob Gebo moved to approve the minutes of June 26, 2018 as
presented. Commissioner Przygocki seconded the motion which carried to an unanimous vote.
OLD BUSINESS
REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE re: Control Room Operator (Accepted)
• Email Correspondence from Jail Superintendent, David Fortino updating status on
Candidate
NEW BUSINESS
UPDATE re: The Board discussed the following Civil Service Eligibility Lists and their current status.
• Administrative Clerk. The Board concurred to establish a new list and hold an examination
on October 13, 2018.
• Animal Services Officer. With the resent resignation of the current Animal Services
Officer, the Board discussed the remaining one candidate and requested Secretary Shannon
forward that candidates information to the Undersheriff to consider for placement.
• Control Room Operator. Due to budget constants, the Sheriff's Office is unable to fill this
position at this time.
• Corrections Sergeant. The current list is exhausted. The Board will continue this discussion
at the next meeting.
• Patrol Sargent. This list will be extended.
Chairman Bob Gebo moved to approve the updates to all the Eligibility Lists as discussed above.
Commissioner Przygocki seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote.
NOTICE OF ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Cowan moved to adjourn the meeting at 3:11 p.m.
Chairman Gebo seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote.
NEXT MEETING: September 25, 2018 or a Special Meeting if properly noticed pursuant to RCW
42.30.080.
