CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
MEETING MINUTES
September 25, 2018
Chairman Bob Gebo called the meeting to order at 2:02 p.m. in the presence of Commissioner Ken
Przygocki and Chief Examiner Steve Richmond. Commissioner Dennis Cowan was absent.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Chairman Gebo moved to approve the minutes of August 28, 2018 as
presented. Commissioner Przygocki seconded the motion. The Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE re: Animal Control Officer Eligibility List (Accepted)
• Email Correspondence from Undersheriff, Art Frank updating status on Candidates, the
Eligibility List is now exhausted.
NEW BUSINESS
UPDATE re: The Board discussed the following Civil Service Eligibility Lists and their current status.
• Administrative Clerk. The Board concurred to establish a new list and hold an examination
on October 13, 2018.
Animal Services Officer. With the recent resignation of the current Animal Services
Officer, Secretary Shannon forward candidates information to the Undersherif£ The list is
exhausted. The Civil Service Commission will discuss testing for a new list at the next
meeting.
Corrections Sergeant. The current list is exhausted. Discussion ensued whether to open the
Corrections Sgt. Exam to lateral candidates as well as the in-house candidates. The same
exam would be given to all applicants. The Testing Materials have already been given to
the in-house candidates and would be provided to each lateral candidate upon receipt of
their letter of interest. The Board will continue this discussion at the next meeting.
Chairman Gebo moved to approve the updates to all the eligibility lists as noted above. Commissioner
Przygocki seconded the motion. The Motion carried.
NOTICE OF ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Przygocki moved to adjourn the meeting at 2:43 p.m.
Chairman Gebo seconded the motion. The Motion carried.
NEXT MEETING: October 30, 2018 or a Special Meeting if properly noticed pursuant to RCW
42.30.080.
