When I was growing up, our town built a new pool in my home town of Newberg, OR. It gave me a place to go somewhere bright and warm in the fall and winter almost everyday. I also was
able to join the swim team and go on to state championships every year in High School. Swimming is one of the best exercises for the body.
I really credit having this positive atmosphere with keeping me off drugs and being a positive member of society.
