RE: Request for Board of County Commissioners approval of a $800,189
Public Infrastructure Fund Request for Proposals Round
STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Public Infrastructure Fund has accumulated enough fund balance to
warrant another Request for Proposals round.
ANALYSIS: The Public Infrastructure Board met on August 24,2023.The financial position of the fund
was presented to the Board along with a recommendation that they approve a new Request for Proposals
round with $800,189 available to fund approved projects.The PIF Board approved the staff
recommendation.
FISCAL IMPACT: This request, in and of itself, has no fiscal impact. However, its approval will
eventually lead to a fiscal impact of as much$800,189 to be borne by the Public Infrastructure Fund—
Fund 306.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approve a Public Infrastructure
Request for Proposals round in an amount not to exceed$800,189.

Request for Proposals
The Jefferson County Public Infrastructure Fund (PIF) Board is accepting proposals from local
public agencies to help finance public facilities serving economic development purposes in 2024
via grants and loans from the County's Public Infrastructure Fund.
Proposal Deadline: Proposals must be received via email to carolvn@co.iefferson.wa.us on or
before 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
Local public agencies may submit proposals for help to finance public facilities serving economic
development purposes. The public facility project must be listed in the 2021-2025
Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), or in the economic development
section of the comprehensive plan of Jefferson County or the City of Port Townsend.
