Commissioners,
On your Oct 23 agenda, I see that you now have a revised ag building code on offer. It’s still not OK.
For example, a person is not allowed to have a sink in their ag building – have you never worked on a farm? You get dirty!
Also, according to this latest proposal, a greenhouse can’t be heated by propane?
Other faults remain in this latest version:
* requiring a “building permit” if you want to be on the Farm Tour (public invited)
* the unnecessary qualifier “private” vehicle
* the reference to “licensed” farm equipment
* the disallowance of vehicles such as ATVs which are commonly used on farms.
I know you can to better – just apply some common sense; the only expansion needed to the current code is a provision for greenhouses. The rest of the proposed changes are superfluous,
redundant or downright harmful.
Thank you,
Tom Thiersch
