The Supreme Court’s disastrous decision in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen last year opened the floodgates for opponents of the gun violence prevention movement,
making it easier to challenge foundational gun policy by dramatically changing how courts can rule on Second Amendment cases. Just months after Bruen, the Court has already taken up
a case that has the potential to devastate domestic violence gun policy, jeopardize the lives of DV survivors and law enforcement, and further erode public safety. With oral arguments
scheduled for Nov. 7, the Court will use U.S. v. Rahimi to examine the constitutionality of prohibiting gun possession by a person with a domestic violence restraining order. This webinar
will examine the Rahimi case, hear from law enforcement about why domestic violence gun policy is so important to public safety, and discuss why it is so important for the Court to
