110923 MW Partners FW_ Maritime Washington Partner Newsletter - November 2023
ALERT: BE CAUTIOUS This email originated outside the organization. Do not open attachments or click on links if you are not expecting them. Dear Maritime Washington Partners, I’m forwarding yesterday’s partner newsletter to this listserv, as several folks have mentioned it got caught in their junk folders—oops! As you’ll see below, we are offering our partners a preview of a new grant program that will be launching next week, including a sneak peek at the application (draft version, subject to change). You’ll also note that our annual partner survey <https://forms.gle/25hcMeZEcqg5NTg97> is due by EOD this Sunday, November 12. As a friendly reminder, completing this survey is an expectation of partnership with Maritime Washington, and it helps determine the kinds of resources we provide to you in the coming year! Especially if you’re out for the holiday tomorrow, please take it now—I promise, it can be completed in less than 10 minutes. Thanks, all! Alex Alex Gradwohl | Program Director Maritime Washington National Heritage Area she / her / hers Washington Trust for Historic Preservation 1204 Minor Avenue | Seattle, WA 98101 206-735-3932 (d) | 206-624-9449 (o) alex@preservewa.org <mailto:alex@preservewa.org> | www.preservewa.org <http://www.preservewa.org/> From: Washington Trust for Historic Preservation <info@preservewa.org> Date: Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 9:18 AM To: Alex Gradwohl <Alex@preservewa.org> Subject: Maritime Washington Partner Newsletter - November 2023 <https://mcusercontent.com/907c69b081f5ea7a5b595e058/images/07ea115f-98cf-147d-d095-7d18ac95380b.png> November 2023 Dear Maritime Washington Partners, It's a busy month for the Maritime Washington National Heritage Area! We recently held our first partners-only workshop, expanded our team, and are planning for 2024 with partner input—details on all that below. Our priority this month is launching a new Maritime Washington Grant Program to support work that celebrates, maintains, and shares our state's maritime heritage. This round of grants will include up to $90,000 to support planning and implementation of interpretive projects. In the spring, we'll offer another round of grants with a broader focus, including events, programs, preservation planning, and more. Applications open November 15 (keep an eye out for details!), but we're providing our partners with a preview of the guidelines and application questions below. We've also included additional resources about interpretation throughout this newsletter to inspire your next project. We hope these tools help you share your piece of Washington's maritime heritage story. And don't forget: you can always reach out to the partner network with your questions, ideas, and celebrations by emailing mwpartners@googlegroups.com <mailto:mwpartners@googlegroups.com> . Fair winds, Alex If you'd like other members from your organization to receive these newsletters, please send their contact information to mwnha@preservewa.org. <mailto:mwnha@preservewa.org> Please note: if you unsubscribe from other emails from the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation, make sure you don't "unsubscribe all" or you'll risk missing this one!
