Dabob Bay Forestland Protection Celebration Tuesday, November 14 | 5:30 - 7:00 pm Northwest Maritime Center (Satterberg Mezzanine, 431 Water Street, Port Townsend) RSVP: CPL@dnr.wa.gov <mailto:CPL@dnr.wa.gov?subject=Dabob%20Bay%20Celebration%20RSVP> Commissioner of Public Lands Hilary Franz is hosting an impromptu event tomorrow night in Port Townsend to celebrate the conservation of 423 acres of precious coastal forest adjacent to the Dabob Bay Natural Area by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Commissioner Franz has asked us to extend the invitation to our supporters. This forestland is the first of 2,000 acres of Legacy Forest across the state that DNR will be conserving. Commissioner Franz will also be announcing her intent to explore the addition of the forest to an expanded Dabob Bay Natural Area. We’re excited about this latest conservation success in the beautiful Tarboo/Dabob Bay area. Over the past two decades, the Land Trust has worked in partnership with Northwest Watershed Institute, the Navy, and other partners to protect almost 1,500 acres in the Tarboo/Dabob Bay watershed <https://saveland.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=25cbb92181e6db1730fe5fb21&id=b4650588f2&e= f9473ad85e> .
