Hello,
I attended a meeting last night in the Tri-Area about the proposed pool
in Port Townsend.
Not a single elected official from the county or the city was in attendance.
I left this meeting feeling that the residents of Jefferson County are
not being represented at all.
I oppose paying for this luxury item at this time.
Perhaps in the years to come, after the economy in the Tri-Area has
grown, this idea can be revisited.
In any case I will continue to vote against any tax to pay for a pool
sited in Port Townsend.
Any future pool should be located more central to the residents who pay
for it.
I certainly hope that the BOCC does not put this proposal on the ballot.
